Clone Labs Tools

Privacy policy

Last updated: 16 October 2026

In short: we use your Google name and email to give you access to our free tools and to send you occasional Clone Labs updates. Your LinkedIn PDF never leaves your browser. Only its text is sent to an AI service to write your report, and we save the report so you can open it again. We never sell your data. You can ask us to delete it at any time.

Who we are

Clone Labs Tools (tools.clonelabs.in) is run by Clone Labs, a part of The Clone Media, India. If you have any question about this policy or your data, email us at talk@clonelabs.in.

What we collect

  • Your Google account details when you sign in with Google: your name, email address, profile picture and Google account ID. We don’t see or store your Google password.
  • Your LinkedIn profile text when you use the LinkedIn profile audit. Your PDF is read inside your own browser and the file itself is never uploaded. Only the text from it is sent to our server and to our AI provider to write your report.
  • Your answers to the questions in the audit, such as your goals, audience and results.
  • Your report: the scores, suggestions and rewritten sections the AI writes for you.
  • Your LinkedIn profile link (found in the PDF), so we can save your report with the right profile.
  • Basic technical information: a sign-in cookie, and your IP address, which we use in a scrambled (hashed) form only to count how many audits are run each day. Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs.

We do not store your PDF file or the full text of your profile.

How we use it

  • To sign you in and keep you signed in.
  • To create your report and save it so you can open it again.
  • To apply our free usage limits, for example one free audit per account.
  • To send you occasional emails about Clone Labs tools, trainings and services. You can stop these at any time by replying “unsubscribe” or emailing talk@clonelabs.in.
  • To keep the tools secure and working well.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we don’t use it for advertising by others.

Services we use

We share only what each service needs to do its job:

  • Google provides sign-in. Google’s use of your information is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.
  • DeepSeek is the AI service that writes your report. It receives your profile text and answers, and may process them on servers outside India, including in China.
  • BigRock hosts our website and database.
  • Cloudflare (cdnjs) and Google Fonts deliver the PDF reader and fonts used on the page, and see your IP address when your browser loads those files.

Cookies and browser storage

We use one cookie to keep you signed in for up to 30 days. Your browser also remembers which action-plan steps you’ve ticked in your report. We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies.

How long we keep your data

  • Your account details and saved report are kept until you ask us to delete them.
  • You can delete your saved report yourself at any time from the audit page (“Delete my saved report”).
  • We keep a record that your account has used its free audit, so the limit still applies after a report is deleted.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, or delete your account and all your data, and you can withdraw your consent to emails at any time. Email talk@clonelabs.in from the address you signed in with, and we’ll reply within 30 days. This also serves as our contact for any complaint about how we handle your data.

Keeping your data safe

Our site uses HTTPS encryption, our AI and database passwords are kept on the server and never shown in the browser, and only Clone Labs can access the database.

Children

Our tools are meant for professionals aged 18 or over. We don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of this page. For important changes, we’ll let signed-up users know by email.
